Home water filters are becoming a common household accessory. Coming in various forms such as pitchers or dispensers, these devices are a cheap and convenient way to purify water that may be unclean or unpleasant. However, these solutions require regular upkeep in the form of a water filter cartridge. Most filters wear out over time, making them less effective and even unsafe after prolonged use. Therefore, it's important to change these cartridges on a consistent basis.
Aqua Clara International has designed a universal water filter cartridge that fits most of these household devices including Brita™ and PUR™ products. Not only is our filter scientifically proven and affordable, it also helps fund our work all over the world. When you buy a water filter cartridge from Aqua Clara, that money will be used to provide clean water to communities in developing countries.
Aqua Clara's mission is to develop effective, sustainable technologies to increase access to clean water all over the world. We partner with local entrepreneurs in the areas we work, equipping them with the knowledge to sell, install, and maintain our water filters. We then sell our filters to them at a reduced rate. Not only does this approach get filters to the communities that need them, but it stimulates the local economy and creates the means for self-sufficiency. By purchasing a water filter cartridge from Aqua Clara, you can help these vulnerable communities access clean water. Learn more by visiting our website.
Scientists long ago discovered how to purify unsafe water. To us, the central issue has been in designing solutions that are both sustainable and scalable and that can reach the millions in need while at the same time continuing to function without sustained outside input. Our target populations are those individuals and families who live on $2 per day or less.
We are a technology transfer organization. Our niche in clean water continues to be in designing science-based technologies that utilize locally available materials where possible and then transferring what we learn to those working in areas of need. The cost of our technologies varies by country and is dependent on the prevailing costs of raw materials, such as plastic containers, PVC piping, sand, etc. Learn more by visiting our website.
